Recipe: Orange & Walnut Autumnal Chocolate Bark

Autumn is hands down my favorite season for cozy, comforting food. Amidst the hearty stews, fluffy dumplings, and steaming bowls of carrot soup, I love indulging in a sweet treat now and then. Last year, I stumbled upon chocolate bark, and after a few trial-and-error experiments, I’ve perfected a combination that’s just right. Let me introduce you to my latest creation: a delightful blend of orange, walnut, and rich chocolate, perfect for those crisp fall days.

This chocolate bark recipe is SO EASY to make and ready in no time!

Orange & Walnut Chocolate Bark Recipe

Ingredients:
2x Terry’s Chocolate Oranges
Zest from 1 orange
Handful of Walnuts
Sea Salt to season

Method:
Step 1. Melt your Terry’s Chocolate orange. I use a small pan of gently simmering water with a mixing bowl over the top and gently melt the chocolate over the hob, stirring every now and again. Alternatively you can melt the chocolate in the microwave. Leave the chocolate to cool for 10 mins.

Step 2. Line a large baking tray with baking parchment. Chop your walnuts into small piece. Gather your orange zest.

Step 3. Pour the orange chocolate onto the tray and spread it into a rectangle, roughly 20 x 25cm. Scatter over the walnuts and orange zest and sprinkle with Sea Salt. Leave in the fridge for approx 3 hours or when the chocolate is set.

Step 4. Once set, break into shards, wrap in cellophane or pack into a box. Will keep for 2 weeks if you manage to not eat it all in 1 sitting like me!

If you want to, you can swap the walnuts and oranges for any topping you like. I like to mix up the nuts and sometimes add dried fruit.
